Life Ionizers received rave reviews of their Life Ionizer 5000. It did very well in independent testing. Click here to see the test.
They have since created the Life Ionizer 7500/7600. The difference is the 7600 provides the ability to plug in the optional Under Counter Conversion Package. They are for practical reasons the same unit. For this review I am going to simply call it the 7500.
The 7500 provides 7 platinum titanium plates for producing high ph and low ORP water. Unlike all other manufacturer’s Life gives you the option to purchase standard plates or new MESH technology plates. Mesh allows a greater surface area thereby providing a 5% – 10% increase in ph and ORP ($100 extra).
The 7500 comes with a nine stage dual filter system providing you with clean and pure water. Life goes a little extra and provides a pre-filter at no additional charge. The pre-filter is important as it removes hard water deposits that can shorten the life of an ionizer by dirtying the plates with deposits. If you live in an area with hard water it is highly recommended that you use a pre-filter.

It also gives you the option to purchase a UV light disinfectant to kill off any bacteria, mold or any other microbiological contaminants that may be in the water ($150 extra). The downside with UV light protection is that the light reflects off of a metal surface that acts much like a mirror. If that metal surface becomes dirty it can limit the effectiveness and you won’t even know it. It is better to get a filter with antibacterial properties.
Unfortunately Life filters do not have any antibacterial properties so if bacteria is a concern then you have to purchase the optional UV light disinfectant. Replacement filters cost around $80.

Life Ionizers build a solid product with the best warranty in the business. When you add the extras it does put the price higher than other similar units made by Jupiter and KYK but if you want the higher warranty then consider Life.

This says alot about the Melody in itself. So what is it about the Melody that makes it so popular? The first is quality. Jupiter has been around since 1970, longer than any other ionizer company. The KYK Genesis is the latest water ionizer from KYK, Korea’s #1 selling water ionizer company. While you might be thinking that being #1 in Korea doesn’t matter, well it does. There are a lot of reviews about water ionizers on the internet. The problem with them is that most people can’t tell if they are real or just someone trying to sell a water ionizer.
Many of the reviews that one can find are completed by someone working for the company and their product comes in as the best one (of course).
So how can you judge a water ionizer and if the information is real? Simple.
Over the next few days to a week I am going to provide some reviews based on initial cost, long term costs, ratings and reviews by people who have purchased one.
I’ll even provide results from independent 3rd party testing. The tests were completed by an EPA certified environmental testing laboratory. The tests were done in accordance with strict scientific guidelines to ensure that each water ionizer was tested in exactly the same manner.
