Be sure to check the cost of the replacement filters. Some manufacturer’s will charge a large amount for the replacement filters. Ongoing costs should definitely be considered.

It is a good idea to look for a unit that offers a anti-bacteria filter instead of a UV light. The UV light can go out, the surface area that the UV light shines on can become dirty causing it to not work properly and they may not work well during high water flow.
